- It is critical that you are very proactive; you need to close the interview in a strong, confident manner. Consider this:
- Ask them if they see you fitting in the role. Ask if they have any questions or concerns – let them know that you want them to be honest. Try to address the concerns right there if you can. If not, maybe a few references would be good to talk to. Yes, be prepared to give references!!
- What’s next? “I can start as early as Monday.” or “I’d like to give my resignation to my current employer immediately”
- If you want the job, tell them WHY you want the job (be specific and list EVERYTHING you like). Tell them how you can contribute right away.
- If you are NOT interested, remain positive and still try to obtain the goal of “winning the interview”
- Let them know that you would greatly appreciate any candid feedback and you look forward to talking with them soon!
